Robert Harper is a professional bassist that's currently busy as a Session Bassist, Solo Recording Artist, Music Instructor, and Product Specialist. He is known for his funky infectious grooves which he lends to various Indie-Artists throughout the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia,) area. He studied electric bass guitar and upright double bass at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California with Oskar Cartaya, Bob Magnusson, Jeff Berlin, Tim Bogart, guest instructors Louis Johnson, Nathan East, and privately with Bunny Brunel & Kevin "Brandino" Brandon. Television appearances have included "In The House" (Downey Cable Network) and KPCC radio in Pasadena, California. He has played with Louis Johnson (The Brothers Johnson), Robert Wilson (The GapBand), R&B crooners (The California Executives), Garrett Shider (Parliament-Funkadelic), and Greg Boyer (Parliament-Funkadelic).
